Microsoft has just revealed Windows 10 at its event. Alongside Windows 10, the company has revealed the upcoming, major version of Windows 10 for Phones! The latest version of Windows Phone comes with a lot of new features.

Microsoft has just showed off a new feature that’ll sync your action center on your desktop with yourWindows Phone which is pretty cool. Microsoft has also revealed a new settings page for Windows Phone. The update will also come with the ability to easily reply to notifications. You can also resize the keyboardon large Windows Phones. Microsoft has also promised that the Message app on Windows Phone will sync with Skype sometime soon.

Update 1:

Action center has also been given an update, you can have even more action center shortcuts, again much like on the PC. The Modern UI apps on the desktop also run on the phone, as they are Universal Apps.

Microsoft used its Windows 10 event today to show off some of the new features and capabilities that will arrive with Cortana. The personal assistant is coming to Microsoft’s desktop OS and will offer consumers a new way to interact with not only apps installed by the web too.

Joe Belfiore took to the stage to talk about some of the new features implemented by the team with Cortana on Windows, which include:

7 new languages
Ability to do impressions (how quick at searching, you are)
Can hunt down and locate news
Type what you wish to search for (just like the current iteration of search on Windows 8.1)
As seen in the photo above, Cortana will be easily accessed on the desktop, sitting next to the Start button in the task bar. The personal assistant will occasionally show information in notifications and will always be listening to hear any commands.

Of course, Cortana can be trusted and will learn more about you, the more information you happen to want to share. Utilizing the personalized notebook (hello, Windows Phone owners!), Cortana will be able to use details provided by the user to offer a unique experience. Much like the phone version of the assistant, this is completely configurable.

Think of this as Cortana, like on your Windows Phone, but on your tablet, laptop and desktop PC. There are a variety of new PC-specific features too, including (but not limited to):

Searching files on local storage hard drives, OneDrive and OneDrive for business

Everything is tuned for muscle memory

Xiaomi banned in India!!!!!

The Chinese Manufacturer Xiaomi is banned in India.

Yes, you saw it right… Xiaomi, the Chinese Manufacturer which entered in Indian market with partnership with Flipkart will no longer be able to sell its mobile phones in India.

The Delhi High Court granted an ex parte injunction order against Xiaomi for allegedly infringing on Ericsson’s Standard Essential Patents (SEPs).

According to Spicyip, by this ex parte injunction, the Chinese Manufacturer will no longer be able to  sell, advertising, manufacture or import devices in India that infringe upon Ericsson’s patents. Local commissioners have been appointed to visit Xiaomi officers to ensure the implementation of these orders.

Here is what Manu Jain, Xiaomi India Head responded about this matter —

While we haven’t received an official notice from the Delhi High Court, our legal team is currently evaluating the situation based on the information we have.

India is a very important market for Xiaomi and we will respond promptly as needed and in full compliance with Indian laws. Moreover, we are open to working with Ericsson to resolve this matter amicably.
